NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING NO. 1
Jefferson County intends to apply to the Ohio Development Services Agency (ODSA) for funding under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and Home Investment Partnership Act (HOME), federally funded programs administered by the State of Ohio. Jefferson County is eligible for Fiscal Year 2012 CDBG and HOME funding, providing the County meets application program requirements.
The first of two (2) Public Hearings for each program will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2012, at 10:30 A.M., in the Commissioners Hearing Room, 301 Market Street, Steubenville, Ohio 43952, to provide citizens with pertinent information about the CDBG and HOME projects, street water supply, drainage and sanitary sewer improvements, park acquisition and improvements, demolition of unsafe structures, rehabilitation and home repair of housing, purchase of housing, and neighborhood facilities. The activities must be designed to principally benefit low and moderate income persons, aid in the prevention and elimination of slum and blight and meet an urgent need of the community.
Citizens are encouraged to attend the Public Hearings to provide their input on the County's CDBG and HOME programs.
